Natural launches partial average of field coagulum prices in March
As frequently demanded by our readers, Natural Comunicação launches this week a new price indicator for the Brazilian market. The average price of field coagulum paid to Sao Paulo’s NR growers, which until now was published once a month, will be published every two weeks, approximately. Up to March 16, for example, Sao Paulo’s NR growers received 2.50 reals per kilo of field coagulum. By the end of this month, we will publish March’s consolidated price of this product and others that are exclusively published by our company.
The section Focus on Rubber shows that global NR supply is projected to exceed demand this year. It would happen by the first time since 2006.
According to IRSG’s latest figures, presented this week at an international rubber industry conference, which took place in China, global NR supply could increase by 11% in 2010, compared to 2009. It would be caused by growers’ intensification of tapping activity, due to high natural rubber prices.
Talking about international conference, we would like to remind our readers of the next events focused on the rubber sector, scheduled to take place in Brazil, between March and April.
This Saturday (March 20), Apabor promotes the Workshop Seringueira in Votuporanga city (SP). Discussions will include implantation and conduction of rubber tree fields, mites and market trends. More info:

Next Friday (March 26), the city of Denise, in Mato Grosso State, will host the IV Seminário da Heveicultura de Denise, with presentations on the state’s program to support rubber cultivation, agro-forestry systems, staples production, rural financing, rubber market and tapping systems.
From April 13 to 16, Abiarb/Sindibor, supported by Francal Feiras, promotes in São Paulo city the 9th edition of
Expobor. During this fair, Natural Comunicação will promote the
5th National Meeting of NR (this is the subject of one news report in Focus on Rubber section). Expobor will also host the
13th Brazilian Congress of Rubber Technology, by ABTB.
Do not miss the main news of the week, as well as the analysis of Brazilian foreign trade and the latest international market prices, in our website.
Have a nice reading.
